CASE STUDY

LATHAM & WATKINS, Downtown Los Angeles

In the Fall season of 2007, one of our favorite contractors called us with a great opportunity. Their client, Latham & Watkins, a 74 year old law firm employing a team of 2,100 people, was looking to relocate to a new home. The firm found the perfect match in one of the two Wells Fargo towers situated in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. The task: renovate 13 floors to create an innovative, contemporary business office environment. The triangular floor plan posed a great opportunity to maximize the view of the city while creating a functional spaceplan. This would require lots of glass and significant attention to window coverings, .

Interior Services welcomed the opportunity to submit a bid and was pleased when it found it was selected for the job. We put our minds and hands to work and combined a balance of mechanized and manual solar shades to provide sufficient privacy and protection from the sun, without sacrificing the fantastic view each floor has to offer. One of our featured suppliers, Mechoshade Systems, delivered us the complete gamut to our specifications, providing us with the materials to fulfill the vision of the contractor, architect and end user, Latham & Watkins. When all was said and done, the hard work and attention to system design by our team and our partners put a smile on everyone's face. A job well done.
